Brits Fish and Chips

I experineced the best service ever.The gentleman that served us at lunchtime was extremly friendly and happy guy.Made us feel right at home.Really enjoyed the food and athmosphere.

Excellent fish and chips. Friendly staff, restaurant is a little chilly during the winter months.

Did not enjoy my experience at this place, greatly dissapointed small portions, not the way it was last year. I found out that they are under new management.

I came down to the Island looking foward to having a nice meal of Halibut and chips and was very dissapointed with the order I recieved it was about a square four inch piece of fish that was about 1/2 an inch thick, nobody was in the restaraunt but me at around 2 pm. The reason I went there is cause of the prior year of eating there it was fabulous giant piece of fish you could hardly eat it, I found out that it had been sold to a new owner, its the last time I'll be in there!

Food was decent, not quite up to the standards of a good British chippie. The service was slow and inconsistent. Even trying to get out involved a rush on the cash register as the girl running it was not taking folks in the order they came nor was she able to make change. Her inabilty to make change left us unable to even leave a tip as the server was not worth a twenty dollar tip and the girl could not understand why I might want smaller denominations. I do love traditional British food and would try Brit's again next time I am in Charlottetown but if my experience is similar I will call it quits.

Inconsistent food quality, one day the food is fabulous...the next day terrible. I ordered the sheppards pie once and never again. The potato was not presented properly...almost as if they just warmed it in the microwave. The sheppards pie should be golden brown with a bit of a crisp to it. BAKE IT PLEASE! The lettuce for salads is rusty the majority of the time. The Jam sandwich we had for dessert one day was presented beautifully once cut in four even pieces looked great. The next time it was just dumped on the plate as if the cook couldnt be bothered to present it with a little pride. I guess these days, it's askin to much to have a restaurant with good quality food delivered on a consistent basis!

I was embarrassed to have taken friends who were visiting from another province to Brits for fish and chips. The food, service and environment all left alot to be improved upon. My husband and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ate their twice and both experiences were bad, badder and worst.

EXCELLENT FOOD EXCELLENT STAFF EXCELLENT PRICES - Agree a bit slow at busy times BUT they cook everything from fresh & to order so a bit of a wait is to be expected especially at busy times - we love this place! (the music is a bit repetative heard the same songs twice in under an hour - get a bigger playlist!)

The food is excellent! Apparently the french fries are made from fresh cut organic potatoes, extra bonus! BUT... the service... the service is great but they are WAY understaffed. I've gone twice on a Saturday night and found a packed restuarant with 1 waitress. They better step up soon or they will lose customers.

THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT IT IS TO COLD IN THERE MAKES THE FOOD GO COLD TO FAST THEY NEED MORE HELP SERVICE WAS POOR

If you like English style fish and chips and know quality when you find it, Brits has got it.
I spent 10 yrs in Toronto and searched every corner of the city for good fish and chips, only found 3 places that were worthy of me reccomending to friends.
I am reccomending Brits to anyone who I know likes fish and chips!!
